What Quality Level Should I Use?

85–95%: Minimal compression, almost no quality loss — good for large images where you want to maintain sharpness. 70–85%: Balanced — reduces file size by 40–60% with very little visible quality loss. Recommended for most government form photos. 50–70%: Aggressive compression — noticeable but acceptable for small previews. Below 50%: Heavy compression — use only when a very small file size is needed.
